Fibre To The Ground (FTTG)

  1. Purpose

This Suspension & Sanction Policy sets out the circumstances under which Fibre To The Ground (“FTTG”, “we”, “us”, “our”) may take enforcement action against customers for breaches of FTTG policies, contractual obligations, or applicable law. The objectives of this policy are to:

 

  • Protect the integrity, security, and stability of the FTTG network
  • Ensure fair and responsible use of services
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations
  • Provide a clear and proportionate enforcement framework

 

  1. Scope of Application

This policy applies to:

 

  • All FTTG customers and users
  • All services, packages, and accounts provided by FTTG
  • Any device, system, or activity connected to the FTTG network. This policy must be read together with the Terms of Use, Acceptable Use Policy (AUP), Fair Usage Policy, and other applicable FTTG policies.

 

  1. Grounds for Sanction

FTTG may impose sanctions where a customer or user engages in conduct including, but not limited to:

 

  • Breach of the Terms of Use, Acceptable Use Policy, Fair Usage Policy, or any other FTTG policy.
  • Use of services for illegal, unlawful, or prohibited activities.
  • Abusive, harmful, or negligent conduct that compromises network performance, security, or other users
  • Non-payment, late payment, or disputed payment of fees beyond agreed terms
  • Misrepresentation, fraud, or provision of false information to FTTG.

 

  1. Investigation and Assessment

Where a potential breach is identified, FTTG may:

 

  • Investigate usage patterns, logs, or relevant account activity.
  • Request additional information or clarification from the customer
  • Assess the severity, frequency, and impact of the conduct FTTG is not obliged to complete a full investigation before taking action where immediate intervention is required.

 

  1. Types of Sanctions

Depending on the nature and seriousness of the breach, FTTG may apply one or more of the following sanctions:

 

  • Written warnings or notices requesting corrective action
  • Bandwidth limitation or traffic management measures
  • Temporary suspension of services until the breach is remedied
  • Termination of services, including cancellation of the customer account Sanctions are applied at FTTG’s discretion and are intended to be proportionate to the breach.

 

  1. Immediate and Emergency Action

FTTG reserves the right to act without prior notice where continued service:

 

  • Poses a legal, regulatory, or compliance risk
  • Threatens network security or stability
  • Exposes FTTG or third parties to harm or liability Such action may include immediate suspension or termination of services.

 

  1. Non-Payment of Fees

In cases of non-payment or late payment:

 

  • Services may be restricted or suspended until outstanding amounts are settled.
  • Reconnection or administrative fees may apply.
  • Continued non-payment may result in termination of services Outstanding balances remain payable even after termination.

 

  1. Restoration of Services

Where services are suspended, restoration may be subject to:

 

  • Rectification of the breach.
  • Payment of outstanding fees.
  • Compliance assurances from the customer FTTG does not guarantee immediate restoration and may impose reasonable conditions before reinstating services.

 

  1. Limitation of Liability

FTTG shall not be liable for losses, damages, or inconvenience suffered as a result of sanctions imposed in accordance with this policy, provided such actions are lawful and reasonable.

 

  1. Amendments FTTG reserves the right to amend this Suspension & Sanction Policy at any time. Updated versions will be published on the FTTG website and will take effect upon publication. Continued use of FTTG services constitutes acceptance of the amended policy.
